Marbling Finished Goods
Have you ever wondered what you could marble beyond paper? Building on the foundation of my introductory class, Marbling Through Creativity, this lesson delves into printing on various finished goods. I’ll demonstrate how to transfer marbled designs onto a silk scarf, a two-sided canvas bag, a cotton crop top, and a terracotta pot. You'll learn foundational marbling patterns, experiment with tools like a stylus and straw, and pick up tips for working solo. With natural materials like silk, wood, leather, canvas, and clay, the possibilities are endless!
Creativity Through Marbling: A Daily Practice
A pattern a day keeps boredom away! Join me in the captivating world of marbling, mastering techniques that adorn paper with mesmerizing patterns. Throughout your month-long journey, delve into four distinct pattern categories: Stone, Gel-Git, Nonpareil, and Chevron. Embrace the interplay of colors, gradually advancing to more intricate designs. Grow your creativity through marbling and experience the enchanting art of swirling colors, unveiling breathtaking designs that will ignite your imagination.

I had the pleasure of doing a marbling workshop with Mercedez in Santa Fe, NM as she was traveling through and it was such a fun experience! She is an easy going and light hearted person, so everyone in the room instantly felt relaxed and able to experiment creatively. There was ample time to explore and test out marbling techniques before we made our final prints so I ended up with some cool pieces that I used for gift wrapping as well as a beautiful silk neck scarf. I look forward to taking more workshops with her when I can.
