Intro to Marbling at Carpenter's Hall

Let's celebrate spring weather with an outdoor marbling workshop hosted by the Carpenter Hotel. 🌸 🌱 🌼

Join us for an afternoon of exploring water marbling- an ancient mono-printing process with artist Mercedez Rex. She will cover a brief history of marbling and demonstrate basic techniques of manipulating pigments on the surface of a water bath. Each participant will have their own marbling vat and time to practice learned techniques and color combinations before transferring their designs to both paper and silk textiles. Students will leave with prints on paper and silk.
